What about half life 2's zombies? When you set them on fire they make a real fucked up noise. Also if you play the recording of their screams backwards they are actually screaming words. Its fucked up, watch the second half of the vid where he reverses it.

I always got the impression that it was real cries of anguish-

makes it more satisfying.

Dicking around with some night shots and also playing with a few others I've taken over the past few days. Also trying to just pick up photography basics, not something I've been into for long.

First moon attempt (apparently either the moon moves faster than I anticipated or I accidentally shook the cam hitting the shutter button):

View from a tree fort we built near a park:

A view from a place we go to smoke at up the mountain:

Some Geese that were insane enough to walk up to me and my buddy and have a chat (though you can see the bastard in the back didn't want to stay still long enough, need to raise the shutter speed next time):

Section of main street (quite a section too, this town is tiny):

Train Tracks on a walk to get cigs earlier:

Love the sky in #3.

And yes, the stars and moon move a lot faster than you realise. Likewise the sun (obviously). Watching a sunset on the ocean horizon really hits that home to you as you literally watch the sun disappear with visible quickness.

Ahh it's been too long since I watched the sun set over the ocean, but it is amazing how fast it goes down. Photographing a spectacular sunset is hard because it's always changing and quick to fade.

Gorgeous photos Uni, I especially liked this one:

Thanks much guys

Gonna probably go out and try to get some more here shortly. Trying to think of areas to get good pics but so far I've found just wandering around and keeping a keen eye out has been more fun. Still need to get solid composure down

First attempt at a panorama using photomerge, seems to have come out OK. Didn't tonemap it very well just cause i was trying to knock it out quick.

New attempt, way better. Fucking 3gb photoshop file when saved before cropping. The folder all of it is in is around 5-6gb. 9 total hdr, 27 raw (taking up their own fair share).

Spoiler

Looks like a fun trip, some epic photos dude the one of the building and that last one are doing it for me.

Last one is seriously reminiscent of the old western movies.

edit: Random note, Lightroom is the tits.

Went biking the other day with a mate and ended up going through a really cool area that felt like a proper wasteland kind of place, if you have ever played S.T.A.L.K.E.R it was kinda like that

Pretty nice man, the first one really grabs my attention.

Just a few I was messing with a bit (thumbnails):

edit: also sorry about the random ass image size, I save the .jpg to fit my laptop screen (1280x800).

Got a bit of rain on the lense (incidentally where the lit up cross is) on this one and had the focus waaaay off:

This one I feel is my first use of HDR for a true representation of what I was actually seeing, though it may not be too interesting of a subject, I'm quite stoked. The lighting is pretty much what I see every night (with exception to the overly saturated lights and the noisy sky):

Playing with the settings on the next two, both in camera and software. First one almost looks like day but its a night shot taken about 40 minutes ago (all of them tonight). Once again clouds moving like some bastards :

edit2 Another shot I just tweaked. Hadn't ever taken one of the night sky so figured why not. Other than a bit of blur don't think it came out too bad:
