Please do

It helps me a lot when people ask for it in shops.

Also say "Borders had like 50 copies, but I thought I had better support a local business rather than queue up like everybody else"

See if we can't hold the cat's arse to the fire

Ta Happy Dude

I've began some beginnings of a sequel (The Wedgwood Code), but it's not my main project at the moment, cos it would rely on the success of the first.

Though I may put up a sneaky sample of it on my blog at some point, been meaning to put a sample of my book up too but the footnotes are a bugger to deal with.

Good but i think i would like a prequel now as i am more interested in the broccoli incedent...
I think of the allo-allo fallen madonna with the big boobies or some silly sex act with a bunch of flowers/broccoli..

Saying that if we hear more about MR.T and his catchphrase "crazy fool i aint getting on no plane" i would be more than willing to spend my money on the dvd movie, book, poster, tshirt and sandwich lunch box
Forgot to say i liked the footnotes and who is prof Arnold J. Constantine??
Is he real??..
Also clever touch with the name of elfin and gnome..But you know that..
Keep up the good work..

So Bonsai, what's the process you go through when writing a story the size of Cold Turkey. Is the process of story planning, unique to each writer, or there a 'best' way, that most people use.

Kidnap someone off the street and base your main character on them.

If there really is a Cold Turkey out there, then I guess we have yet one more reason to never go to Stoke On Trent.

There are generally accepted methods that you get taught, about planning it out, research, developing characters and plot... but ultimately, I think most writers just do whatever works for them.

One of my tutors summed it up best before we had to go write a play in 72 hours.

"Do whatever you have to, go and meditate, listen to some relaxing music, rest well and take regular exercise... or go take a load of coke and write it all in one sitting without getting up... do whatever you have to, just get the first draught out"

For this book, (and I suspect it shows ), I literally just made it up as I went along. Some characters and places are based on real things and ideas.
